Avalyn Pharma Inc is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing inhaled medicines to treat rare respiratory diseases, including pulmonary fibrosis and other interstitial lung diseases (ILDs). Its current pipeline is focused on treating pulmonary fibrosis, a life-threatening disease with a median survival of three to five years, which is a significantly shorter prognosis than that observed for many forms of cancer. Its flagship programs include AP01 and AP02, whichare inhaled formulations of pirfenidone and nintedanib being developed for conditions such as progressive pulmonary fibrosis and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
